People Operations Coordinator - Bay Area -

We are looking for a passionate and organized People Operations Coordinator to partner with our management team in building innovative and scalable approaches to identifying, engaging, hiring and developing top talent. This role supports key processes including recruiting, onboarding, and employee development, and will have the opportunity to help build great teams. This role requires people management, organizational and critical thinking skills and a passion for people processes. The People Operations Manager reports to the Director of People Operations.

About You

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with confidential information and utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Collaborative work style with a focus on building trusted partnerships and delivering exceptional service
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self starter with great time management skills and attention to detail
  • Passionate about developing people process documentation and driving process improvements
  • Proven ability to prioritize work, and to set and meet goals

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a unique-to-Free Association approach to talent and team growth
  • Assist managers with job requisitions, review applications, interview candidates, initiate and track background checks, create offer letters and employment paperwork
  • Support the new hire Onboarding Process and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities
  • Maintain our applicant tracking and HRIS systems
  • Run performance management cycles and prepare reports
  • Maintain and/or create records and documents for employee data transactions such as hires, terminations and other employee status changes
  • Maintain personnel and other HR files ensuring compliance with regulation and Company policy; update company policies and handbook as needed
  • Identify and maintain active relationships with community based organizations, colleges, and a diverse set of professional organizations to source and recruit top talent
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to grow the candidate pipeline
  • Develop and implement hiring manager and interviewer training to build extraordinary hiring managers at Free Association
  • Contribute to branding initiatives, including continued development of our recruiting artifacts, Careers Page and Free Association’s presence on external professional
